E-Waste Recycling
Due to the increasing digitalization and automation of almost all areas of our lives, the amount of electronic waste is constantly growing. In 2019, about 50 million tons of e-waste were generated worldwide, of which only about 17% was recycled. The annual average growth rate in e-waste of over 4% means that approximately 75 million tonnes of e-scrap can be expected per year by 2030. These figures show the existing potential and the need to reprocess recyclable materials and return them into the cycle.
WEEE, short for waste electrical and electronic equipment, is becoming an increasingly important waste stream. The processing of electronic waste not only enables the recovery of valuable materials such as metals (aluminum, copper, gold, silver, ...), plastics. and glass, but also reduces the amount which has to be landfilled and the dependence on primary raw materials.
The processing of electrical devices, white goods, PV systems and the recycling of batteries are becoming increasingly complex, and the demands on e-waste processors are higher than ever before. With BLUELINE we can cover the entire spectrum of dry mechanical processing technology and therefore meet all requirements. Whether with our sensor sorters, Magnetic Separators or density sorters, we always ensure the best sorting results.
